International Holiday Traditions

Have any of you ever played the International Holiday Traditions Matching Game in the Libeary? It’s only playable when the North Pole is open and the holiday dΓ©cor is up. If you don’t know where in the Libeary it is, which you should, you need to click the globe on the table:

But this post isn’t to describe the game itself (which is essentially Bears and Pairs with a holiday theme), it’s to post pictures of the holiday traditions. πŸ˜› The order is the order I took the pictures in.

Did you know about any of these traditions? Maybe you and/or your country celebrates them. In Canada, things work pretty similarly to how they do in the US, but there is no unofficial “date” to start celebrating (whereas a lot of people in the US start getting ready for the holidays after their Thanksgiving), leading to some people and a lot of stores having Christmas and other holiday decorations up after Halloween. For the record, I am not one of those people. πŸ˜›

Do you have another holiday tradition that isn’t listed above? Even if it’s something only you/your family does, I’d still love to hear about it in the comments! πŸ™‚

  1. As most of you know, Singapore has a little bit of trouble with land space, so it’s not like we have a huge apartment to put Christmas trees in. Even if we lived in landed property, we’re not allowed to go about chopping trees with an axe. So during Christmas, we just invite relatives over, eat roast turkey and open presents. Nothing special involved. πŸ˜›

  2. So happy I just got tea cup chair 2! Been wanting it forever traded my dragon for it just bought another dragon after the trade πŸ™‚ sorry this does not go to the post I am just so so so… Happy I got it

  3. Sure why not trade. Can we trade tomorrow it is almost 10 pm where I live. Look in my inventory if you see anything else while you at it. Friend me if you can. See you tomorrow hopefully πŸ™‚ PS my bearville name is SelenaBearDiva740

  4. If it was today you were trying to add me my sister was using my account and was just kept trading I was playing on the wii game friendship valley babw game trying to get web codes because the game gives you web codes when you reach mile stones ( I can give you one if you want I can make I new avatar and get new web codes). That works out good for me anyway because Never get on my computer on week days infill late πŸ™‚

    • I was trying to add you today. πŸ˜› I have the Hugsville game, but I thought that those webcodes expired? If they haven’t, then what do the codes get you? πŸ˜†

  5. Today I got a lily plant and an emoticon of smile face with a controller in is hands. I picked up where I left off 2 years ago and it gave me a wii web code back then (sadly I traded with it and I do not even remember what for 😦 ) I could probably get the wii quicker than the emoticon and maybe lily plant but I personally do not think the lily is cool because I have tons of them. I finished all my quests and it says I still have 2 web codes to unlock( a cool tv with friendship valley on it and a move were you are playing a video game on a wii) do not no how to get those but I shall figure it out because I think that TV is rare I saw a picture of it and I never saw anyone who has it. But any way yes I entered some on today and they did not expire and I will try to get you some πŸ™‚

    • You have to keep in mind that the water lily plant didn’t used to be in the City Garden, same as the golden cherry tree (from Hugsville) and the various floral bushes. Ooh, I might be interested in the TV! Maybe I’ll even trade my teacup chair or something for it if you want. Thanks for your generosity! πŸ™‚

  6. We’ll i do not have the tv but I hope to get it. I an 100 percent sure I comes with the game. I just have to get far enough to unlock it. It may be a while sense I finished the main event ( the festival) and do not have it. But I shall figure it out tomorrow. But if I do get it, you are the first person I would offer to trade it with πŸ™‚

    • Aww, thank you! Yeah, I think it comes with the game, just like how the Nintendo DS on BV comes from the Hugsville game. πŸ˜› Good luck finding the code!

    • 1. Just go to WordPress.com, scroll down, and click the place where it says “make an account”.
      2. Not really. Posting isn’t hard, and you can just look up any questions you have about editing, adding images, and using HTML coding. πŸ˜›
      3. Not unless you buy the extra things like Custom Design or Premium or whatever, which I don’t.
      4. See 2.
      5. See 1.

  7. Thanks I may try this today, if not today tomorrow but I got to go. See you tommorrow πŸ™‚ do not forget to friend me πŸ™‚ tell you more if I will or will not get a blog tommorrow. See ya πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    • Hmm… A lot of BVWP blogs are “Bearville ________”. Yours could be Bearville Groovy or something similar? Don’t feel like you have to use that name, though. πŸ˜›

    • Oh, OK! Well, make sure you make it on WordPress and not Blogspot or any other blogging platform as commenting and interacting with the BV blog community is easiest on WP. πŸ˜† As for ideas, a lot of bloggers do fashion posts and updates and, well, what they do on Bearville each day. I’m sure you’ll find your niche! πŸ˜‰

    • Hmm, if I had to choose, I’d say I like the first two. The third is more creative than the others, but it’s kinda vague and doesn’t say anything about you. The fourth doesn’t seem like you at all from what I know about you. πŸ˜›

  8. Yes I liked the first two too. I thought hard for two minutes for the third but still was not a huge fan of it. Do not judge me but I made the fourth one up random because like on test there are always four answer to choose from a b c or d so I put the last one random I am just weird πŸ™‚ so it is between the first two. NO 😦 I am in the same place of my head about to burst agai which one. Not again. Crud

    • Hmm… Well, Bearville Bear Diva could be good because that’s your BV last name. I used my BV last name for my blog name… πŸ˜† But choose whichever one you think is good! The first name is looking better and better to me, but that’s just me. πŸ˜›

  9. Yes while I was waiting for you to respond I was thinking the same thing because it was my last name so it would make more sense. Well this is my for real goodbye 😦 thanks for the help with the blog thing πŸ™‚ friend me πŸ™‚ trade with you tomorrow πŸ™‚ talk to you tomorrow πŸ™‚ and let you know if I will or will not make a blog tomorrow πŸ™‚ bye ///

    • The time on the comments isn’t my real time zone (it’s Alaska time), but we can use that. I’ll probably be able to get on at around 6 (if I’m lucky) or 7 PM Alaska time. We can see about meeting up then if you’re able to. πŸ˜›

  10. 6pm Alaska time would be 10pm for me. 7pm would be 11pm. I probably could not get on bearville that late 😦 can we trade Wednesday then give me a time and I can meet you then. I can talk to you on your blog this late tomorrow though.

  11. Ok
Too bad we did not have this conversation yesterday because then we could have traded today.

Respond to me on one of your posts comment section when your on bearville again. Tell me which comment section I should check for you on. Wait will you not be on bearville your blog or both for a whole

    • I won’t be on both for most of tomorrow. πŸ˜›
If you comment sometime tomorrow, then I’ll get it when I check my blog, so all you need to do is comment and wait for me to reply. πŸ˜†
