Obligatory Halloween Update Post

Yes, I know that normally Stephanie does this kind of thing, but I thought I’d give it a try this month. 😛

Last night, at 12 AM Bearville (Eastern) time, they updated a few smallish things like the stores. They also gave out the VIB gift, which I posted about on BRD. I don’t think people want to hear about my disappointment with VIB stuff twice, so we’ll just skip all of that and go right to the Pawlette costumes:

To quote my friend Heather, “I can smell the Naruto cosplayers already!”

Anyway, this is the only new outfit here. The rest is all repeated from previous years. However, if you’re someone who loves the Halloween outfits like I do then this shouldn’t be a problem.

It’s worth noting that they took out the Alien Outfit from last year (which was new then) and brought back the Medieval Costume, which wasn’t in stores in 2013:

I bought a billion of these earlier because I kind of like the hats and hey, why not. 😛

EDIT: They also took out the old Cowboy Outfit (the one that gives you the belt). Which I doubt anyone cares about, besides LoZ cosplayers. It’s kind of sad how the Pirate Belt always overshadowed the Cowboy Belt, though… Maybe it’ll come back in 2015? 🙂

The Pumpkin Tote is also new to stores this year, I think? They normally have one where you can change the color. I think I’ve seen it before, so I’m not sure what it originally was, but it’s in Pawlette’s now, so…

BVO has the same Halloween stuff it’s had for the past few years, and people with the Leopard Kitty Sweater, including me, can breathe a sigh of relief as it wasn’t brought back and is therefore safe for another year. 😆

As for rides, the Broom Ride is back, but the Pumpkin Ride isn’t. I have both, so I really don’t care. 😛

The other updates to Bearville were made later on, at 6 AM Eastern time, I think? It was somewhere from 3-6 AM Eastern time. I don’t know when. Anyway, the Store Fur All Seasons is back for the 2014-15 year. Get used to seeing it again, since it’s going to be here almost every day from now until Easter. (Besides taking a break in January, the Store Fur All Seasons will have stuff for Halloween, (American) Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter.)

The stuff in the Store Fur All Seasons is the same as last year, with no new items and nothing brought back that wasn’t there last year. The haunted house exterior is also back at the Lumbear Yard, but I didn’t decide to use it because I’ve had it for the past ten or eleven months before I switched in September. What can I say? I like Halloween stuff. 😛

The thing people will probably be most excited for after the Halloween stuff being brought back is the reopening of the Kooky Spooky Fun House. If you’ve played during October of any year starting from 2009, you know the drill. The Build-A-Story thing is back in the library (upstairs), which is mildly interesting, I guess. The thing most people likely want to know is “what do you get in the maze game this year”? And that would be…

Actually, I’m not really sure if this is going to be true, because the maze game is notorious for saying the prizes are things that they’re not. Last year, I remember them saying that the prize was a candy dispenser when it was really the Halloween balloon ride:

Anyway, if it does turn out to be the feathered mask, I won’t really have a problem with that, because IMO that’s the second-coolest Halloween maze prize. It was originally a prize in the 2010 maze and is a Halloween-themed recolor of the old pink (flamingo) mask. If you don’t know what that is, then this is what the HALLOWEEN feathered mask looks like:

Last, but not least, the thing where you can customize your pumpkin at your condo is back. Here’s mine. I usually make mine look kind of “anime-esque” (which I’ve been doing since I was like… ten…) but I went a different route this year. 😛

He looks really snooty, doesn’t he? Too bad he gets blocked by my rose and hydrangea bushes. 😆

Anyway, I think that’s all the Halloween stuff there is. If I’ve missed something or if there’s something here you want to share your opinions on/talk about with me, feel free to comment. Remember, you can’t comment on my posts from the WP Reader, so you’re going to have to go to my actual blog if you want to say something to me. :/

Thanks for reading and have a spooky Halloween! 😛
